BIOGRAPHY
Despite being recognized twice on the streets of Vancouver (once by a complete stranger!) from participating in the award-winning CBC documentary Cracking Up, I continue to put my skirt on one leg at a time. I attended The Writer’s Studio at SFU and I feel much, much better about myself, thanks for asking. My writing has been published in the anthologies Contours, Contemporary Canada, eye wuz here, Beyond Crazy, Concrete Daisy & Other Plays and my produced plays include The Last Moon, The Waiting Room, It's All the Rage, An Italian Tale, My Own Private Etobicoke and selections from Couples, Singles & Other Freaks of Nature. I received a few honours in the theatre and writing world, which I was truly honoured to receive; twice honoured as a finalist in the Canadian National Playwriting Competition, honorary mention in the Brainstorm Poetry Competition and placed as a Highly Commended Winner in the Commonwealth Broadcasting Association’s Short Story Competition. When time permits I really enjoy participating with the exceptional gang at Stand Up for Mental Health. |
